Anthropological Inquiry with Jason Price: "A Figure Game"

The Anthropological Inquiry Working Group invites you to its first workshop of the Fall 2015 Semester from 3-5PM on Friday, September 18 in the Gifford Room in Kroeber Hall.

Anthropology PhD candidate Jason Price will be presenting a paper entitled "A Figure Game" (click on event to see abstract and other information). The discussant will be Dr. Lawrence Cohen.

Abstract: An experimental assemblage of floating captions set within a quasi-historical polyphonic Batesonian metalogue masquerading as a game, this piece inhabits the history of anthropology in a non-teleological way to index (and advocate for) the joyfulness in prefiguration. I invite you to play; it's meant to be fun.

To RSVP and request the paper, email Julia Sizek at jsizek@berkeley.edu or Max Waterman at maxfield.waterman@berkeley.edu by Thursday, Sept. 17. There will be snacks.
