Romance Linguistics

The Romance Linguistics Working Group is dedicated to providing a collaborative space for students and faculty from a broad range of departments and specializations whose academic interests touch on topics within Romance linguistics. Sessions will address general linguistic topics such as phonology, sociolinguistics, etc. as relates to the Romance family, as well as more Romance-specific issues such as philology, culture and history.The group seeks to go beyond the standard languages (French, Italian, Spanish) and include discussion of lesser-known varieties and dialects both in and outside of Europe.
